Holiday Travel Week at a Glance

WRUF Weather realizes many of you will be venturing north for the holidays and are sometimes pretty anxious about your travel plans.  After all, we all know the weather is usually a lot more difficult for travel in other parts of the country than Florida this time of year.  And 2014 is no different.  A significant pre-Christmas storm could challenge a lot of air travelers early next week in the Midwest and Great Lakes.  This could be followed by another weather hurdle for the trip back the weekend after Christmas.  We’ve listed some major airport hubs below that could be impacted by significant weather in hopes that you have the ability to plan around the potential trouble spots and get to your destination safely by Christmas Day.  If the major city is not listed (they are in alphabetical order), then we do not anticipate any weather-related delays or hazards.  The map below can also be used by motorists to identify potential slow-ups on the roadways as well.
