A Frost Advisory has been issued for all of inland North Florida from 3 am to 8 am Tuesday morning. Clear skies, light winds, and a cool, dry air mass will allow temperatures to fall to near freezing overnight. This set-up makes frost likely, especially in rural areas across inland North Florida.
This is not an unusual occurrence for late January. The last frost of the season typically takes place in late March. However, we recommend residents to bring in any outdoor pets and to take the necessary precautions to protect sensitive vegetation.
