- Expect sustained winds 15 – 25 mph with frequent gusts up to 40 mph
- Be cautious of weak tree limbs that could break and fall
- Use caution while driving
A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of North Florida until 6 pm. There is a large difference in pressures between the strengthening area of low pressure that moved through yesterday and an area of high pressure to the northwest. This will keep winds elevated through the afternoon hours today and Saturday.
Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected with frequent gusts up to 40 mph. Weak tree limbs are subject to fall and loose objects outside can be thrown around. The ground may also be saturated after Thursday’s rain, elevating the risk for falling trees.
Minor damage to power lines and property are also possible. Winds will subside some overnight but pick up again early Saturday.
