Gabrielle is moving toward the north-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A turn to the north is forecast later today, followed by a turn to the northeast on Monday with an increase in forward speed.
Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is possible through Monday. Gabrielle is then expected to weaken starting Monday night as it begins a transition to become an extratropical low.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
