Gabrielle is moving toward the northeast near 18 mph (30 km/h), and this general motion with an increase in forward speed is forecast over the next few days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected today, but a weakening trend is likely to begin Tuesday. Gabrielle is expected to become an extratropical low by Tuesday night.
