A 10-minute average wind of 39 mph (63 km/h) and a gust to 48 mph (78 km/h) was reported at Horta on Faial island in the central Azores.

The minimum central pressure is estimated to be 960 mb (28.35 inches) based on data from a nearby NOAA drifting buoy, which reported a pressure of 961.5 mb around 0200 UTC.
